Dear Oliver,
These are very special pictures to your dad and I hope they will be to you too. They were taken at your Great Grandpa Jack's house right after your Great Grandma Betty's funeral on July 10, 2010. Your dad picked this spot on purpose - it is where Grandpa Jack is building onto his house and he has made little notes and markings on the drywall to help him in this process. Your dad helped build this house with his dad and grandpa and one of his fond memories of his Grandpa Jack is the way he would always write notes on the wall as he went along, as well as write his shopping list for home depot on a 2x2 piece of wood. Your dad had tears in his eyes as he told me that this needed to be the spot for the four generation picture, and it turned out perfectly. I hope you take after your dad, Grandpa Fred and Grandpa Jack and learn to appreciate hard work. That is something that I really admire about your dad; not only does he know how to work hard but he is very handy around the house. I have a feeling you will be sporting a little tool belt before I know it.

Oliver with Great Grandpa Jack July 10, 2010
Love,
Mom
