A few things to note this month:
You turned four years old! Yay! We had your birthday party at Desert Breeze Railroad Park in Chandler. Your friends got to ride the train with you. We had pizza, veggies, fruit and Nana Dot's stepmother, Susan Tong, made a pretty amazing train cake for you again. You had so much fun!
- While you and I were making Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip muffins on your birthday, you said, "Mama, you're the best cooker in the world."
- Grandma "Utah" came to visit for your birthday. As we were driving her to the airport, you said," I wish we could reach our arms really far and touch hands when you're in Utah."
- You LOVE cucumbers. You ask for them almost daily. You usually eat half of a cucumber and then eat the other half a little while later (you don't like it cut in slices. You like to eat it whole, like a pickle).
- You call the remote a "camote."
- You love to play the game Where did the bud go?. Basically, you hide and then yell from your hiding place (usually an obvious spot), "Where did the bud go?" I can usually see you under your blanket, wiggling around. Dad and I pretend we don't see you. "Hmm...is the bud in the bathroom? No...is the bud behind the chair? No..." You love it.
- One day you said urgently, "Mom, there's an emergency!" "What is it?" I asked. "____ (one of your trains) isn't being nice."
- When you're tired, you say, "My battery's running out."
- After I told you the day's agenda, you said, "That will make me tired!"
- After no nap for three days and a big tantrum at the library, you took a 3-hour nap. When you woke up you said, "The food helped me a little but the nap helped me a lot. I feel better now! I was really, really tired."
- You were singing "I Am a Child of God." You sang the line, "Live with Him someday" and then said to me, "We'll live with Heavenly Father someday?" Words from songs are sinking in.
Love your guts,
Mom
