23 Months

February 2012, taken after church.
  • Two-year molars are the worst. Yours have been coming in for what seems like forever. It is a painful process for you. Accompanying the teething is a constant running nose (which causes a cough), a fever, and fussiness. You have your fingers in your mouth a lot. You wake up often in the night, which is rough for all involved.
  • You had a high fever for a few days (105 degrees), which was scary for us. We had to give you a couple of cool baths to bring your temperature down and monitor you closely. We are so glad you are finally feeling better.
  • You seem to enjoy nursery at church quite a bit and aren't upset when we drop you off.
  • You say "ruff ruff" when you see a dog or a picture of a dog
  • Your newest word is "home" and you know what it means. When I pick you up from daycare you say "Daddy home?"
  • You continue to love babies and point them out when you see them.
  • You can point letters of the alphabet out when we read books. You are really good at recognizing "O" and "P" especially.
  • You are the coolest little kid. We love your guts.
